The Safety Conference, 2008, will be held in Sydney from the 28^th to 30^th August at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park (Homebush). It is organised by the Safety Institute of Australia and is dedicated to health and safety issues in the workplace. The conference runs concurrently with the Safety Show and Materials and Handling Show, and is supplemented by presentations and workshops by the principal sponsor: WorkCover NSW. An addition to the 2008 event is the Sustainability Show.

The show is very relevant to events, theatre, television and film crews, with a huge range of information and demonstrations on safety related equipment and systems that are easily adaptable to the entertainment industries.
